In late 90s, Primo and Diane were sponsored by Willie Santos’ skateshop. Willy would flow Primo this one board known as the ‘Angel’ deck. He liked it but had to trim ¼ inch all around and also add lines in order to make it function like a freestyle board. He would use it in school shows where there were jump ramps and rails. Primo liked the fact that he was able to do freestyle and street obstacles without having to switch boards.

The shark graphic originated from the era when Primo was skating for Vision. He wanted to tie it into Sea World as he was doing alot of demos there at the time and had an artist who worked there draw it up. VSW was not feeling it so they decided to go with Primo ‘Face’ graphic. The rest is history.
